Paul Dedinsky is a dedicated public servant with a proven commitment to justice and community safety. Paul's extensive experience as a veteran prosecutor and deep understanding of the law has prepared him to serve the people of Waukesha County as a fair and impartial judge.
Paul grew up in southeastern Wisconsin and attended Marquette University High School and Creighton University. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison Law School in 1993 and earned his Ph.D. in Education and Leadership in 2012.
Paul is married to Lisa, and the couple raised three children — Abby, Charlie, and Natalia — in Delafield, Wisconsin.

25 years as a prosecutor — and a career path twice recognized by Governor Scott Walker, who appointed Paul as Chief Legal Counsel at WI DATCP and later to the circuit court bench.
Handles mainly Homicide and Sexual Assault appellate matters. Previously served as Homicide-Violent Gun Prosecutor and State Prosecutor Representative to the Republican National Convention.

Chief Legal Counsel for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. Consumer protection, administrative rule-making, ethics counsel and trainer for the agency.
As a prosecutor, reviewed thousands of investigations, charged criminal and civil matters, litigated over 50 jury trials and 100 court trials. Director of the DA's Domestic Violence Unit (2001–2007). Sexual Assault prosecutor (1991–2001). Main Author and Editor of the Wisconsin Domestic Violence Prosecution Manual, 2004.
Parish lector, pastoral council member, teacher of Christian formation. Longtime involvement with Waukesha's Schoenstatt International Province & Retreat Center.
President, 2022. Board of Directors, 2013–2019 and 2022–present. Co-organized the annual Youth Law Day at Marquette University Law School, 2010–2018.
Board member supporting the “Jump for Archie” anti-opiate addiction event, in memory of Archie Badura of Oconomowoc.
